   Useful Links for SolidWorks Users

For starters, don't forget about the links from our homepage

SolidWorks  (Of course),
Eng-Tips SolidWorks Forum  (A well-moderated discussion group that red-flags the spammers and gives stars to contributors of substance), and
SolidWorks Tips and Things  (Neil Custard's collection of tips, downloads, and articles, kindly provided free of charge to fellow SolidWorks fans).

The SolidWorks Newsgroup is perhaps one of the most candid sources of information you can find on the internet.  The group is pretty friendly and helpful--as long as you don't cross the line with hard-line sales pitches or begging Reg codes for pirated software.

If you haven't subscribed yet, SolidWorks Express is a fairly content-rich publication put out by SolidWorks.  If you don't care for additional e-mail, you can also browse the publication on-line at your convenience.  CAD Digest is another great source of information, especially on their SW tutorials page.  Other publications include Solid Solution Magazine's Solid Digital Digest (free) and Solid Solutions magazine (for a price).

Useful Software Downloads:

Okay, I'm a little bit prejudiced...but you absolutely cannot consider your visit to this site complete if you don't download The Propa-Gator!

MCADCafe lists a number of downloads (shareware, freeware and demo-versions) that you can browse.  The site also has quite a bit of CAD news, if you like to be "in the know" at CAD parties (nobody here is going to use the Ge-- word!).

CADalog has a shareware section of over 5,000 titles.  Many are for the 2-D world, but SolidWorks does have a decent representation here.

Just for Fun (and it just might be useful, too!)
